Reformer Pilates, part of the method
At Pilates Incorporated in Amsterdam West, you can practise on the Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Springboard and mat, in private lessons and groups of three.
THE APPROACH
More than a Reformer workout
There's no separate Reformer class at Pilates Incorporated. Reformer Pilates is part of a more individual approach to movement: sessions are shaped around you and may combine the Reformer with other Pilates apparatus according to your needs, goals and experience.
01| Observation
Each person is seen, guided, and supported by Pilates teacher Ana Nikitovic throughout the session.
02| Guidance
Movement is guided in real time, as a reflection of what the body is doing and what it is ready for.
03| Progression
Each session builds on the previous one, creating continuity and a clear path for progress.
THE REFORMER
How the Reformer fits into the practice
The Reformer offers more than resistance. Its springs and moving carriage provide support and feedback, helping you explore movement, develop strength and coordination, and better understand how your body responds to different challenges.
Ana brings in the Reformer to meet people wherever they are, from first experiences with Pilates to specific goals, rehabilitation and more advanced movement work.
One teacher. One space. Max 3 participants.
Private Pilates lessons and Pilates groups of max 3 participants allow the work to remain focused, responsive, and uninterrupted.
THE PRACTICE
A practice guided by experience
As an experienced Pilates teacher of more than 10 years, Ana Nikitovic guides each practice according to the individual’s goals, capacity, and experience. Reformer Pilates is incorporated where it can best support the work, alongside other Pilates apparatus and tools selected to help the practice develop over time.

FAQs
-
Not as a separate class. The Reformer is one of several pieces of apparatus in the studio, and Ana uses it whenever it best supports what you are working on. In both Privates and Trios, a session might draw on the Reformer, Cadillac, Wunda Chair, Springboard or mat, depending on you and the focus of the lesson.
-
Not necessarily. Some sessions use the Reformer a lot, some briefly, some not at all. The equipment is chosen to serve your goals, not the other way round. Many people reach what they came for through a combination of apparatus and Ana's guidance, rather than through a single machine.
-
Larger studios usually teach a set Reformer workout to a full room. Here there is one teacher and never more than three people, so Ana can see each person, adjust the work as it happens, and move between apparatus when something else would help you more.
-
No. Beginners are welcome in both Privates and Trios. You pick up the equipment and the language of the work as you go.
-
If your practice needs to be built entirely around one body (an injury, surgery, a specific event), Privates are the best place to begin. Trios also work well with specific goals, as long as the work can be shared within the group. If you're unsure, ask Ana directly at ana@pilatesincorporated.com or on WhatsApp, and she will help you choose before you book.
-
Every session is taught by Ana Nikitovic, who has taught Pilates in Amsterdam for more than 10 years. More on Ana's background on the About page.
-
No. Each Trio class explores a movement theme: balance and gait one week, rotation or shoulder work another, but always whole-body. Private sessions follow your goals, and every ten sessions Ana reviews your progress with you. Over time the work connects and the method starts to feel like your own.
-
Choose a Trio to learn alongside others around shared themes; choose Privates when the lesson should be built entirely around you. Visit the Privates page or the Trio page.
-
Yes, the two work well together. Many people use Trios for their weekly rhythm and add an occasional private session when they want focused, individual attention.
-
Begin with an Intro Series: three Trio classes or three private sessions, valid for three weeks. Reserve your place through the Booking page.
